The technology developed by Nuova CIBA for pneumatic conveying in dense phase allows the handling of bulk materials in powder or granules inside a pipe for distances up to 300 m and flow rates up to 8 tons / h.
The dense phase pneumatic conveying system is differing from other technologies by its low conveying speed and high product/air efficiency ratio.

The technology developed by NuovaCIBA for pneumatic conveying in dense phase allows the handling of loose materials in powder or granules inside a pipe for distances up to about 300m and flow rates up to about 6 tons/h.
The dense phase pneumatic conveying system differs from other technologies for its low conveying speed and high product/air efficiency ratio. The indicative ratio between air (or other gas fluids) and product is as follows:
Dense phase about 50 l of transport gas per 1 kg of product (including fluidification).
Other systems: about 800-1000 l of transport gas per 1 kg of product.
The dense phase transport preserves the integrity of the material, even in case of mixtures of several products. Low speed is suitable for very fragile products. When using dense phase pneumatic conveying, CB +SI Tube wear  is significantly reduced with respect to other high speed systems.
Moreover, the low quantity of gas used does not disperse volatile substances and the use of inert gases prevents the oxidation of the products. As a result, smaller filters are needed.
The flexibility of NuovaCIBA solutions compared to both diluted phase systems and traditional industrial automation methods, allows integration with various types of machines: extractors, silos, screw feeders, hoppers, bag emptyers, bag cutters and filters.
The use of reduced volumes of air allows great energy savings. The maintenance costs of pneumatic conveying systems in dense phase are low; the number of spare parts and technical interventions is very much reduced.
The technology developed by NuovaCIBA ensures high performance even for the transport of fragile and abrasive materials. Its low speed, combined with a reduced amount of compressed air or other gas fluid, avoids deterioration of the pipeline, preserves the integrity of the product and allows a significant reduction in maintenance costs.
NuovaCIBA's solutions are suitable for both long and short distances. The use of continuous fluidification through porous dividers of variable grade allows to transport powders and granules for distances over 200 meters.
The technology developed by NuovaCIBA also allows to transport already mixed materials. The properties of mixed products are preserved until the end of the line thanks to the low speed and the possibility of controlling the quantity of air introduced into the system.
